# Book Name Author: [[Daniel Siegel]] ## Review Mindsight is about improving mental maps of who we are and how others feel and think. People who are more in tune with their bodies are more empathic. We feel others emotions in our own body and mind by simulating their experience. The author is a psychologist/therapist and conveys these ideas through a series of case studies of his patients. Each patient suffers emotionally, or has counterproductive behavior. He advocates using mindfulness techniques to better connect with thoughts and emotions, to heal or manage the negative behavior. The term mindsight, in my view, is synonymous with the skills you get through meditation practice.
