Its interesting that the rise of [[Islam]] occurred at the same time as the [[Middle Ages]]. It makes me wonder what the influence of [[Climate]] is on the rise and fall of Empires. At the same time that [[Islam]] was rising the [[Roman Empire]] was falling apart.
