# My Investment Framework
I need investment processes that I can perform periodically and that get invoked by triggers such as models or decision that need to be made.
Everything you do should have a purpose. Everything I spend time on should be either performing a process, or building tools to improve the process. Felix Zulauf is able to think clearly because he has a wealth of experience and knowledge, and a process of writing out his thinking periodically in order to come up with possible scenarios and actionable ideas.
## Discover my own thinking
I need to have models which allow me to understand the market from each of these perspectives and provide insight into either:
- what has happened
- what is happening
- what will happen
Here are the dimensions I need to think along.
- Time dimensions:
- The long term factors: macrohistory, demographics, politics.
- Medium term factors: business cycle, capital cycles, inflation.
- short term factors: positioning, flows, liquidity.
- economic scale dimension:
- Stock level analysis and research
- industry level analysis
- macro level, business cycle
- Style dimension:
- macro
- quant
- volatility/liquidity/technical
- fundamental
## Tools, Models and Processes
- checklists
- business cycle models
- fundamental equity models
- currency system (carry/value/momentum/positioning/government actions)
- quant/econophysics models
- models across different: timeframes, securities, scales and asset classes.
## Understand the market perspective
Need to understand the perspectives of many of the other market participants including:
- quant managers
- fundamental managers
- derivatives/liquidity investors
- politicians
- retail investors
- short sellers
- Central banks
- pension funds and institutional investors
- CEOs
- Entrepreneurs
Preferably each of these is exceptional in some way.
## Write-up thoughts
I need to write-up:
- what I believe the most probable outcomes are
- where there is asymmetric upside
- and where there is risk.
- What actions I need to take.
