# Demographic Dynamics of a Life-cycle
## Overview
People of different generations cluster together and have a shared experience.
For each of these generations or sections of the demographic pyramid, we should be able to model things like changes in birth rate, education, what media/content they are exposed to and how that might shape their beliefs and actions.
We should also be able to model the dynamics between different generations which could help describe certain events in the market or economies. Such as a large generation that is aging not being replaced in the workforce fast enough: what impact does that have on economic variables?
- it could be similar to [[Bertrand Roehner]]'s work on populations such as: [How to use population pyramids to explore the past](http://www.lpthe.jussieu.fr/~roehner/pyrach1.pdf)
- Or the work done by [[Jack Goldstone]] in [[Revolution and Rebellion in the Early Modern World]] which in part looks at the impact of youth bulges
- Or the work done by [[Jack Goldstone]] in his book on the demographic impact on politics.
